6-15-20 THOUGHTS

May your week be blessed.  As I say that, some thoughts run through my mind.  
My week being blessed is a function of my mind.  What I allow to enter my mind will, to a great extent, determine the happy, fulfilled joyfulness of my week, or the opposite!
Surely events and circumstances will show themselves, but even those, I chose in my mind how to deal with them!  

Prov 17:22  A joyful heart is good medicine, But a broken spirit dries up the bones.  NASB
Prov 17:22    A cheerful disposition is good for your health; gloom and doom leave you bone-tired.  MESSAGE BIBLE

When I study God’s word looking for ways to make it work in my life, I am always happy!  But when I use this very same computer to look for what’s going on in this world, the opposite occurs.  I am presented with frustration and anger and disappointment with my fellow man. I am presented with evil on a grand scale, and shameful human behavior that I cannot control.   I am sad and overwhelmed almost.  God must be weeping?  
In the first case,    “My joyful heart absorbs God’s Word and that’s good for me...”
In the second case    “My spirit is worn out with a sense of the UNCONTROLLABLE...”

Prov  23:7a    For as he thinks within himself, so he is.
Following is a sad condition, but there is a most interesting statement by Jesus here!
Luke 11:52  "Woe to you lawyers! For you have taken away the key of knowledge; you yourselves did not enter, and you hindered those who were entering."
If there is indeed  “A KEY TO KNOWLEDGE...”        I MUST NOT MISS IT!
Prov 4:23    Watch over your heart with all diligence, For from it [flow] the springs of life.
Deut 29:9    "So keep the words of this covenant to do them, that you may prosper in all that you do.
Heb 8:10 "FOR THIS IS THE COVENANT THAT I WILL MAKE WITH THE HOUSE OF ISRAEL AFTER THOSE DAYS, SAYS THE LORD: I WILL PUT MY LAWS INTO THEIR MINDS, AND I WILL WRITE THEM ON THEIR HEARTS. AND I WILL BE THEIR GOD, AND THEY SHALL BE MY PEOPLE.”

My Prayer:
Oh God of forever, thank you for blessing us with the truth of yourself.  Thank you the light of Jesus and the hope of eternity with you.  Our lives are continually blessed by your grace and mercy and love.  Teach us and help us to think on right and good  things.  Help us to keep our hearts and control diligently what goes into them.  We belong to you Oh God,  guard us with your mighty hand.
